PILLBOX "GMBET-1” (long-term defensive point)
Bunker "Gmbet-2" (wooden-earth defensive point)
The goal is to build at least 500 Firing Points in the most difficult and dangerous directions. Secondary goal is to build a maximum of 4,700 firing points throughout Armenia, around the population
- The state is engaged in the arrangement of the first line of defense, and we as a public have taken upon ourselves the arrangement of the second line.
- 1 bunker Gmbet-2 costs 960,000 drams, 87 Gmbet-2 have already been built and another 25 are under construction.
- We have divided the territory of Armenia into defense sectors and plan to build up to 40 Gmbet-2 per month.
- To achieve this goal, we need $92,000 monthly
- A total of 1,840 people making a one-time transfer or subscribing to automatic transfers in the amount of $50 will make it possible to steadily build fortified areas
- Get involved and become part of the construction battalions we need for the sustainable construction of bunkers.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
The 2020 military actions, which took place in the territory of Artsakh, had little in common with the fighting of the 1990s. Those involved in the conflict of the 20th year pointed to the extensive use of artillery, MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems), mortars, and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
The safety of military personnel is now more important than ever.
We must also consider that a significant danger now threatens settlements located near the frontlines. The residents living there must not only desire to defend themselves and their property but also be well-trained and prepared with designated firing positions for defense.
To facilitate the work of our soldiers and bolster the defense of populated areas and forward outposts, we propose the widespread construction of cost-effective, prefabricated Wood-Earth Firing Points (BUPPs).
Engineering and technical structures should be erected in all populated areas of Armenia, transforming each of them into a fortified defensive position. This will enable us, in the event of a border defense breach or enemy sabotage by DRG (Deep Reconnaissance Groups), to maintain the defense within our borders, limiting the enemy's actions and potentially forcing them into retreat. Each such point will serve as a stronghold where displaced soldiers, local militias, and reservists coming to aid the army can regroup.
Therefore, had the territory around Hadrud, Shushi, or other villages been fortified with engineering structures and had a militia of trained locals in 2020, the two battalions of enemy mountain riflemen would not have been able to end the war in our defeat. During the retreat, our soldiers would not have been left wandering through empty villages and unprotected positions but would have seamlessly integrated into the defense of already populated areas, transforming Artsakh into a region with layered defense.

BUNKER
- Can be built quickly and discreetly, with limited resources of building materials and forces
- Bunkers are installed in places that dominate the terrain or have difficult relief
- The construction of bunkers is expedient in the most probable directions of enemy attacks.
- The bunker can be either single or part of the system of a field (temporary) fortified area

PILLBOXES "GMBET-2"
After the September conflict, having analyzed our capabilities, financial resources, the capabilities of our friends and the experience in the production of bunkers GMBET-1,we started the development and construction of the GMBET- 2 bunker.

BUNKERS AND THEIR DIFFERENCE FROM PILLBOXES
-
the speed of building a bunker, which allows to quickly organize them on a mobile line of defense to increase its durability;
-
the low cost of construction by military personnel (often the construction of bunkers is additionally used for exercises or as a punishment for personnel) and civilians loyal to them without special education and the cost of non- handy resources;
-
in the presence of wood, axes and shovels, it is made from simple, improvised means (wood, earth, stone), it does not need the delivery of special building materials.
DISADVANTAGES OF BUNKERS, IN COMPARISON WITH PILLBOXES:
-
with the same dimensions as the pillbox, the bunker provides weaker protection (only from bullets, fragments, small-caliber mines and shells), since less durable construction materials are used in the construction of the bunker;
-
fire hazard;
-
fragility due to the lower water resistance of wood, as a result of which bunkers could not be used for the construction of long-term fortified areas (for example, border ones).

THE MAIN PROTECTIVE ELEMENT IN DONE-2 WE USE HIGH- STRENGTH TIRES FROM BELAZ. DUE TO THE THICK RUBBER, REINFORCED WITH RODS INSIDE AND BURIED IN THE GROUND, WE GET A LIGHT, BUT RELIABLE VERSION OF THE FIRING POINT
In fact, we have created a bunker reinforced with a reinforced tire, that is, it is a more reinforced and reliable option than just a bunker made of wood, soil and stones. Due to the mobility during the transportation of the tire, it was possible to reduce the installation speed. It is important that installation does not require special skills and can be carried out by both the military and ordinary citizens.

WE TOOK INTO ACCOUNT THE EXPERIENCE OF PRODUCTION, INSTALLATION AND PRICES OF GMBET-1 AND DEVELOPED A NEW DESIGN.
Changes were made in three areas
- Simplifying technology and reducing production time Changes were made in three areas
- Simplification of technology and reduction of installation time
- Reducing the cost of bunkers, but maintaining its reliability
- Increased delivery capabilities to assembly sites

The top cover is made with sleepers or thick logs, moisture-resistant material and 3 meters of earth. All this is disguised to become part of the landscape. Entrances to the point are made deep, narrow and long to prevent the possibility of kamikaze drones getting inside. And also, next to the bunker, trenches can be equipped for more reliable protection of the line by a group of fighters.
THE AVERAGE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF A GMBET-2
TYPE OBSERVATION POST IS 930,000 DRAMS.
-
Project includes the construction of an observation post, a 15- to 50-meter ditch, and firing positions, depending on the location.
-
There is a certain interest from the units of the RA Ministry of Defense. We prepare some of the tires in advance, cut the reinforcements and transfer them.
-
We have enough tires and plan to install them as soon as possible. Several installation locations have already been decided, and with proper financial support, we will be able to strengthen the second border line up to Meghri.
Construction work is carried out continuously unless weather conditions interfere.
And for such work, workers are needed who are ready to voluntarily participate in the implementation of this project.
If you would like to become part of the team, please leave a request and we will contact you to provide detailed information.
